The reality is we live in between the First Christmas, when Jesus showed up, and the Final Christmas, when Jesus will come again and make all things new. This overlap creates a lot of tension and experiencing the life that Jesus has promised us can sometimes be as difficult, if not more difficult, in this season as in any other.
